Malaparte, a small Italian neighborhood spot on the corner of Bethune and Washington Streets in the West Village, is my favorite go-to for a simple yet delicious meal. They have a really lovely grilled squid with lemon and capers that is perfect with a glass of crisp Vermentino while dining al fresco on a warm summer or fall evening.
We can always go there and just get a solid meal. Not too expensive. They have some seats outside. Just a cute neighborhood spot for some good pastas and salads, a quick meal. And nice wines.
