4 people who'd know recommend Genuine Lamma Hilton Fishing Village Restaurant

Lamma Island · Hong Kong

Genuine Lamma Hilton Fishing Village Restaurant sits on its own covered pier over the water at Sok Kwu Wan, on the quieter side of Lamma Island — a seafood house more than half a century old, reached by ferry rather than by road. The menu is the day's catch: steamed scallops with garlic, deep-fried squid with chilli and spring onion, clams in white wine and butter. What is unusual is who keeps naming it — four people who run fine-dining rooms and cocktail bars of their own in Central and Kowloon, all sending you to a pier on an outlying island.

You sit right around the water and you're eating local seafood, the wok skills, the tea service, the wines are fantastic there

It's amazing, it's like in a small pier. You eat incredible seafood: take the lobster.
