Carnaby · London
The Devonshire opened on Denman Street in Soho in November 2023 — Oisín Rogers behind the bar, Flat Iron's Charlie Carroll and chef Ashley Palmer-Watts alongside him — and became one of the hardest tables in London almost immediately, as much for the Guinness downstairs as the coal grill above it. Fifteen people name it here, and the list is not the usual one: three-Michelin-starred chefs, a pizza founder, a singer and an actor.

People keep saying, how could the pint be so good? Go and drink it, it is more than good. I did 12 hours there.

Best bar or pub has to be the Devonshire, legit the only place I'll drink in London.

Of course, it would revolve around incredible food: we’d start at Borough Market, followed by a walk along the Thames. We’d swing by for a pint in The Devonshire, have lunch at Dorian and then have dinner at CORE by Clare Smyth.

The Devonshire – I love how pumping this place is. It serves simple, great produce cooked really well and the perfect pint of Guinness.

I saw someone on the next table having a suet pudding with gravy and a really crisp pint of Guinness. That's what I wanted.

The best pub is the Devonshire. They're the only pub in London that does non-alcoholic Guinness.
