I love so many restaurants in London. Some to note are Claude Bosi, Brett Graham’s restaurants, Sabor, Gymkhana, A. Wong – the list goes on.
I recommend Josephine, by my good friend Claude Bosi, on Fulham Road, for its great atmosphere and food, and Sabor on Heddon Street for delicious shareable plates. Both are spot-on if you're looking for a diverse and eclectic dining experience that truly captures the essence of London's food scene.

I would head to Sabor. Cooking Spanish food is just glorious. Rock up to the bar, speak to the chef and say, just feed me.

I’m a bit biased as Nieves Barrahán Mohacho is one of my best friends, but Sabor is at the top.
Sabor is definitely still on top of the list. My favourite dish is the suckling pig – in Samoan culture, we love our pork.

I love Sabor as well. I love Nieves, I think she's a true artist.

I think there are a lot of places that do mediocre Spanish food in London, but Nieves Barragan’s take on it is just a completely different level. The suckling pig that she does at Sabor is one of the most amazing dishes I’ve ever eaten. You look at it and you think, “Oh yeah, that looks nice.” But then when you try it, you’re like, “Oh my god, I just want to eat this all day.” It’s perfectly cooked until it’s falling apart and then it has this lovely crisp shell on the outside.

Easy, Sabor.
This place always reminds me of my time living in San Sebastian. Nieves and José are masters of creating delicious food, as well as a warm and inviting space that always makes me want to come back.

Just because a place has a Michelin star doesn’t always mean that it’s got to be high-end. Nieves Barragán’s place is relaxed Spanish cuisine – a two-hour meal in a three-Michelin-starred restaurant is probably a step beyond my son Acey’s capabilities, but he loves the suckling pig here. Book the upstairs restaurant or eat downstairs at the counter and order fish from the display – and you have to try the Tortilla Gallega from the tapas menu.

I have only been here once but remember every mouthful I ate. This is the best Spanish food I have ever eaten. Nieves Barragan’s suckling pig is something you have to try.

If I’m looking for a livelier spot in Mayfair, I’ll head to Sabor. I go there often; it’s a great place to take my daughters, my work colleagues or friends passing through London.
