Its simplicity and excellence in execution.
I will always tell people to go to Trinity by Adam Byatt in Clapham – I celebrated a big birthday there myself recently. I love the food that Adam and Harry [Kirkpatrick] are cooking. It’s classically rooted with modern interpretation, and with a no frills, no fuss approach.

It's a bit of a secret one, this one - the supper club at Trinity. Adam, he's a chef's chef.

Trinity hands down. Adam cooks there most of the time, it's great.

If I had to pick my favourite restaurant in London that’s a real stalwart, it would have to be Trinity in Clapham. It’s been there for at least 15 years, maybe longer, and it just gets better and better. Their signature dish is the beef tartare with caviar and bone marrow mayonnaise, which has been on the menu in one guise or another for years and years. That’s one of my favourite dishes in the whole of London.
That’s such a hard question because London has so many amazing places, but if I had to choose one, it would be Trinity. I find myself going back there again and again because Adam Byatt’s cooking is just so meticulously executed. Every dish is refined and thoughtful, and continues to evolve and get better each time I visit.

We went 3 weeks ago and it was like the best meal I've ever had, honestly. They keep getting better and better.

Trinity, hands down. It's a chef restaurant and a neighbourhood restaurant.
